Trainee will learn to: 

• Read and understand drawings
• Carry out installation of drywall wall linings, ceiling systems (including suspended ceilings)
• Understand and carry out risk assessments for tasks
• Read and implement measurements and drawings in practise
• Understand drawing keys and legends

After an initial training period, the trainee will be expected to perform what they have learned independently.

This list of responsibilities is not exhaustive and the employee will be required to perform duties outside of this as operationally required and at the discretion of their line manager.

Apprentice will be working alongside one of our tradespeople going through the basics. When the successful applicant gains confidence, they will begin some lone working with a guidebook of basics:

• Operative will use basic tools such as jabsaw, impact screwgun, tin snips, measuring tape, hopup, etc.
• Operative must be conscious of safety requirements on site

In addition to the defined roles expected of all members of staff there are a number of added responsibilities which Stanmore expect of fixer.
