You will be based at 4 Brandon Road site.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Getjar will offer a vacancy to a candidate looking to start or continue their career in the construction industry, within the Formwork (reinforced concrete) sector.

Formwork training will cover practical principles in:
• fabrication and repair of wooden and system formwork.
• erect and strike: wooden and system formwork.
• erect and strike: crane handled formwork (Proprietary systems like Peri)
• working at height (once trained and experienced in site activities).
• small tools operation
• awareness of site environment and movement of plant
• manual handling

You’ll learn basic skills, knowledge, and awareness in:
• interpreting information from Managers and Drawings.
• risk assessments and method statements.
• construction elements.
• effective communication.
• site communication.
• Earthworks activities.
• working area protection.
• health and safety.

Duties

The role involves:
• daily strenuous physical activity.
• working at height.
• wearing PPE/RPE as required.
• working to deadlines.
• Punctuality.

Training, supervision, and instruction on day-to-day requirements will be provided by site management team (Foreman and Supervisors)

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
As per council and Principal Contractors requirements.
All candidates expected to have a valid CSCS card.
All candidates expected to have their own work boots and appropriate site attire - remaining PPE will be provided on site.

All successful candidates will be expected to be on site ready to start work at 08:00 and finish work at 17:30 for 5 days a week.
